    Biography

    Born in Italy, Davide Cava started music study at the age of 4. He has actively participated in national and international competitions and received numerous prizes and awards, including an honorable mention at the NTD International Competition in New York and the Second Prize at the Panama City International Piano Competition.

    Davide has also performed as a soloist with numbers of orchestras, including Turin Conservatory Orchestra, Asti Symphonic Orchestra (Italy), Mihail Jora Symphonic Orchestra (Romania), Meadows Symphony Orchestra (USA) and has been a recipient of prestigious CRT Foundation Scholarship from 2014 to 2017.

    His former teachers include Luigi Dominici, Marina Scalafiotti and Pietro De Maria.

    Davide has performed solo and chamber repertoire in several masterclasses and academies all over Europe and America led by renowned pianists, including Lang Lang, Michel Béroff, Maria João Pires, Pavel Gililov, Fabio Bidini, Benedetto Lupo, Roberto Plano, Giovanni Bellucci, Andrea Lucchesini, Aleksandr Madzar, Dominique Merlet, Nelson delle Vigne-Fabbri, Philippe Entremont, Vladimir Feltsman, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Alessio Bax, Lucille Chung.

    After studying for 12 years Piano and Composition and graduating with highest honors at Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" in Turin, Italy, Davide continued perfectioning with Maestro Joaquín Achúcarro at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he obtained his Performer's Diploma, Master of Music in Piano Performance and Artist Certificate.

    He was given multiple times the "Paul Vellucci Piano Award" by the SMU Piano Faculty as one of the most remarkable pianists in residence.

    In its free time he composes neo-romantic music for Piano solo and orchestra, writes scores for films and videogames, develops his passions for photography, technology and triathlon.
